Conferences, holidays, closures, and the events that pin our year together.
Standing closures
- Major federal holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Juneteenth)
- One-week winter break in late December
- One-week spring break in April
- A short summer gap between the end of the regular program and the start of summer camp
- Professional-development days (announced several weeks in advance)
Weather & emergency closures
For snow days, see the snow day policy — short version: we follow Lexington Public Schools on day one of a storm, open at 9 AM on delays, and email families by 7 AM. Emergency closures (power outage, water main, that kind of thing) go out by email as soon as we know.
